Word Entertainment Releases Faith-Based Film, Journey To Grace: The Hansie Cronjé Story, Today On DVD

Word Entertainment is proud to announce the DVD release today of Journey To Grace: The Hansie Cronjé Story from the filmmakers of Faith Like Potatoes. The inspiring true story is based on the celebrated South African cricket player, Hansie Cronjé, who disgraced a nation when he confessed to his involvement in a bookmaker scandal.

Produced by Hansie's older brother, Frans Cronjé ("Faith Like Potatoes"), and directed by Regardt van den Bergh ("Faith Like Potatoes"), Journey To Grace: The Hansie Cronjé Story takes place during a new era of hope in South Africa heralded in by the end of the apartheid. The nation was ripe for young leaders to stand up and one young cricketer did just that. As one of the best players the game has ever seen, he earned respect for himself, the game and his nation. The world was shocked when he confessed to his involvement in a match-fixing scandal and banned him for life from the sport that had brought him to glory. The film follows him on his journey to redemption and his struggle to rebuild his life. The film stars Frank Rautenbach ("The Bang Bang Club" and "Faith Like Potatoes") as Hansie and Sarah Thompson (TV's "House" and "Without a Trace") as his wife Bertha.

"Journey to Grace: The Hansie Cronjé Story," with its inspiring and faith-filled message, has earned the Dove "Family-Approved" Seal for ages 12 and over. The Dove Foundation awards the seal of approval to products that portray positive family-friendly values.
