Poema: Elle and Shealeen Louise Puckett
Full-length label debut out September 11th, 2012
Tooth & Nail Records' stunning sister duo Poema is currently on the road this summer for their headline "Summer Heat and Fresh Beats" tour. This tour will feature special guests Theatre Breaks Loose and Almost Legendary (dates below). Following this tour, Poema will continue on the road with Jake Germany and the Cardboard Kids on tour presented by Substream Music Press. Hitting more than 40 dates across the country, Poema will be introducing fans to new music from their upcoming full-length debut, Remembering You, which will release September 11th.
"We love being on the road," share Poema sisters Shealeen and Elle. "We get to travel, meet some of the coolest people, and we always end up with the craziest stories - all the while doing what we love. It's an adventure 100% of the time."
Tooth & Nail Records introduced the world to the lovely Poema with their debut EP Sing It Now in 2010. Two sisters from Albuquerque, NM, Shealeen and Elle, grew up in a close-knit family where music was an integral part of their life. Shealeen has been classically trained in piano, and Elle taught herself to play guitar. Poema's musical influences include pop, folk, country and alternative music, and they strive to write songs that speak to people.
Since the debut of their EP, Poema was named as one of AP's "Top 100 Bands You Need to Know", and the sisters toured the entire Vans Warped Tour in the Girlz Garage last summer. They also released a Christmas EP Once A Year in 2010.
Sign It Now is available at your local Canadian Christian retailer. If you do not live near a retailer, you can order it here.
