On June 12th, Flicker Records’ newest artist, Wavorly, released their national label debut Conquering the Fear of Flight to high acclaim from the media.
Here is a sample of what the media is saying:
“Wavorly’s intelligent lyrics and multi-faceted sound truly stands out in a marketplace overcrowded with new rock acts that sound the same.”
Christianmusictoday.com
“Their new album, Conquering the Fear of Flight, is a musical delight. Interesting musically and lyrically superior to many other bands on the market, ‘Conquering’ is based partially on C.S. Lewis’ classic book, The Great Divorce. The result is depth, quality, and good, clean rock.”
Youth Ministry Exchange
The band that hails from Mississippi is also climbing the radio charts with the singles Praise & Adore (CHR) and Madmen (Rock). Wavorly finished the Rock Paper Scissors tour this past weekend and will be performing at Cornerstone Festival this week before heading out on the Revolution Calling tour in July. In addition, the band will be supporting rockers Disciple for their “Scars Remain” fall tour.
Conquering the Fear of Flight is specially priced at $17.99 or less at your local Canadian Christian retailer. For more information on the group and to hear audio snippets from the album, visit the band’s YMZ artist page.
