The 7th annual Unite in Worship conference Is headed for the eastern shores of Canada this year and will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This intimate conference will offer worship leaders an opportunity to reflect on the insights of keynote speakers Calvin Miller and Barry Adams and be led in worship by well-known artists such as GMA Canada Covenant Award winner Brian Doerksen (“Refiner’s Fire” ) and Ireland’s Robin Mark (“Days of Elijah” ).
Unite Productions’ President, Paul Kelly, and Brian Doerksen will open the conference and set the stage for Calvin Miller. Miller has written more than forty books on theology and inspiration. His articles and poetry have appeared in publications such as Christianity Today, Campus Life, Leadership, and His. Miller will be speaking about his latest book The Path of Celtic Prayer where he takes the reader on a journey through the rich literature of ancient saints and missionaries. Canadian author Barry Adams will bring new meaning to letter delivery as he discusses his Father’s Love Letter ministry (www.fathersloveletter.com), which paraphrases Scripture to deliver the message that God is the Father we have been looking for all of our lives.
Brian Doerksen and Robin Mark will bring the focus back to worshipping God in song throughout the conference along with several other special guests. Doerksen’s appearance at the Unite in Worship Halifax conference will be taking place in the midst of his cross-Canada tour in support of his album Holy God. After the conference, Doerksen will be continuing on his tour in Eastern Canada with stops in New Brunswick and PEI. Belfast, Ireland has lent the talents of GMA Dove Award-winning worship leader Robin Mark to the conference he Mark will be performing songs from his extensive discography, including his latest album East of the River.
Unite in Worship Halifax will take place at Rock Church located at 222 Sackville Drive in Halifax, Nova Scotia from May 25th-26th, 2008. Patrons are asked to reserve early as seating is limited for this truly edifying worship conference.
