Recently, ABC News featured a story about what astronauts on the space shuttle Endeavour were playing on their iPods during their recent mission into spaceand top-selling Christian music act Casting Crowns, Watermark and BarlowGirl makes the selective list.
Astronaut Tracy Caldwellstates that she takes Christian music with her and listens to them while in orbit. “I have a number of Christian bands like BarlowGirl, and Watermark and Casting Crowns,” says Caldwell. “And I recently got a CD of special songs from my boyfriend that I put on my iPod that I will enjoy while I am up there, just a collage of really good tunes, nothing that I am usually singing with Max Q (the all-astronaut band whom she sings lead vocals for), but just stuff that I enjoy.”
