Tommy Hunter To Be Honoured At Covenant Awards

Canada’s Country Gentleman Tommy Hunter will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 27th Annual Covenant Awards, October 22nd in Toronto. Tommy Hunter, whose TV show ran on the CBC for 27 years (ending in 1992) has spent the last decade and more touring Canada. The TV show, which was the longest-running weekly show of its kind anywhere in the world, was a mix of country music and laid back story telling. Guests over the years included Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, The Judds and many, many more.

Honoured with the Order of Canada in 1986, Tommy Hunter has released two albums of inspirational songs (Songs of Inspiration and Songs of Inspiration Volume 2) and an album called Readings (featuring narratives like “The Touch of The Master’s Hand”wink.
