Gospel Music Channel has a new revelation for viewers this week, when Georgia-based rock band Third Day takes over late night on the cable network.
To support today’s release of Revelation, Third Day’s first studio album in nearly three years, Gospel Music Channel has dedicated three hours of programming starting tonight through Friday to Third Day and their music. Tonight at midnight ET, right after Third Day makes their debut appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Gospel Music Channel launches into its four-night Third Day programming blitz.
Tuesday through Friday, the Third Day programming block will be air between 12 (midnight) a.m. to 3 a.m. ET (9 p.m. to midnight PT). Each night starts with a special encore premiere of Third Day’s latest music video, “Call My Name”, which was filmed at GMC’s Atlanta studio last April.
Tonight features three back-to-back hours of Third Day, starting at midnight with Faith & Fame: Third Day, where the GRAMMY® Award-winning band shares their struggles, their successes and the story behind their music. That will be followed by Front Row Live: Live Wire concert special and Hit List: Third Day’s Favorites.
Wednesday night’s late night programming begins with Inside Third Day: The First 10 Years, a 90-minute documentary which takes an insightful and revealing behind the music look at how Mac Powell, Mark Lee, David Carr and Tai Anderson have earned a place among Christian music’s most respected bands of all-time. Following the 90-minute documentary, GMC features a 30-minute block of all Third Day music videos and a second Front Row Live concert special, this time featuring the Come Together CD.
Thursday night on Gospel Music Channel features encores of Front Row Live: Live Wire and Inside Third Day: The First 10 Years, followed by Third Day music video block.
Friday’s Third Day finale includes three straight hours of concert specials: Front Row Live: Live Wire; Front Row Live: Come Together and Front Row Live: Offerings.
In addition to the special Third Day programming, Gospel Music Channel is in production on a “making of” special for the record called Revelation Revealed.
