On December 7th, Third Day ended their series of concerts in California by performing at Friends Church in Yorba Linda, California.
Organized by Transparent Productions, the event was a benefit for Randy Miller, the drummer for The Myriad. Several weeks ago, Miller was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and will begin treatment immediately. Like many musicians, Miller does not have medical insurance. Being unable to perform with the band and with Miller’s wife needing to stay home to look after their two young children, the couple faces extreme financial hardship.
That night, almost 2,000 people attended the concert and raised over US$40,000 with more donations being accepted at the merchandise tables. The total raised will almost cover Millers copay for one yearr’s treatment. If you like to help, you can make a tax-deductible donation online at www.thestirring.org.
