Publish Date: Jan 25, 2007

Heading to Halifax for the East Coast Music Awards February 15th to 18th? Be sure to add this to your agenda, the ECMA Partnered Stage Gospel Showcase Event hosted by 2007 ECMA nominee The LaPointes.

This award-winning and Juno nominated sibling trio, who have brought their special offering of Christian music to audiences far and wide for more than ten years, will be performing alongside three other ECMA nominees, all of whom are up for Gospel Recording of the Year:

4Given is a gospel music group whose members have been singing gospel music for many years as soloists, choir members and in various singing groups. Their first self-entitled CD received a 2004 Covenant Award nomination by the Canadian Gospel Music Association for Inspirational Album of the Year. Their second album, We Look To You, was nominated for two Covenant Awards including Inspirational Album of the Year and won a 2006 Covenant Award for a song that group member Darlene Lemmon wrote. They also received a 2007 Shai Award nomination for Inspirational Album of the Year.

Life Support is an original alternative rock/worship ensemble whose live appearances have been reviving joy and hope in audiences across Canada. Showcasing passionate lyrics and no compromise, Life Support’s desire is to lead others into the presence of the Lord and see a generation changed for God.

Emmaus Road Quartet has developed a loyal following in a very short time. Since the Spring of 2001, this mixed quartet has been blessing audiences from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia to Bangor, Maine. While being a new group on the scene, they are made up of veterans in Christian music in New Brunswick whose musical pedigrees include stints in defunct groups ranging from the obscure (Revelation) to the legendary Gospelaires.

Joining this talented group of ECMA nominees is Paul Khosla, worship leader of Rock Church in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.

This not-to-be-missed event is taking place Friday, February 16th, at 7:00 p.m. at Rock Church, 222 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Tickets are $8 per person, $20 per family and FREE to all ECMA delegates. Contact Rock Church at 902-864-3553.
