The band met with Stephanie and her family for a day of fun arranged by the “Make-A-Wish Foundation”, an organization that helps grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. The eight year-old’s dream was to spend a day with her favourite band, Superchick, whose music played a significant role in getting her through the initial diagnosis and treatment of her illness. Additionally, Superchick was honoured to join Stephanie’s wish granters, Tracy Bossman and Susie Remelius, in presenting Stephanie with the news that her Wish: To Go to Hawaii to Swim with the Dolphins would soon be a reality.
“It was humbling to be part of someone’s wish, and our day with the family was so special for us,” says Superchick’s Tricia Brock. “It’s encouraging to know that there are organizations like Make-A-Wish Foundation making a difference in the world one person at a time. Thanks to Make-A-Wish Foundation for involving us – it was a day we won’t soon forget.”
