Steven Curtis Chapman’s band for the new Live In This Moment Tour is set and they got together this week to continue working up the new songs from the This Moment album, new arrangements of your favourite SCC hits, and to pray.

New on this tour, the Chapman boys join their dad on tour. Will Franklin takes over on drums and Caleb flanks his dad on guitar. Steven comments, “It was my goal to stay cool enough and relevant enough musically that when they got old enough, if they were good enough, that they would want to tour with me. It’s no overstatement when I say, having my sons performing with me on tour is a dream come true.”

When you come to the Chapman show, bring along your spare change, empty that jar of change in your closet out, grab the spare coins and dollar bills in your car, how about collecting change in your small group? This Moment is Chapman’s 16th project and his first new album in 3 years, centred around the theme of celebrating every moment of our lives. “I want to remind people that God is more concerned with our day-to-day than we might think. He is not just in the valley or on the mountaintop. He’s on the straight open road, too. I hope we can begin to really experience what He’s doing in this moment.” says Chapman.
