Stellar Kart’s “We Can’t Stand Sitting Down” Releases Today!

Publish Date: Jul 25, 2006

The wait is finally over as Stellar Kart’s sophomore release We Can’t Stand Sitting Down hits stores today. Featuring songs such as Activate, Hold On and Me and Jesus, the project was produced by Ian Eskelin (All Star United) and is a strong, creative project that never loses the energetic pop-punk that their fans love.

We Can’t Stand Sitting Down is the much anticipated follow-up to 2005’s CD All Gas. No Brake, Stellar Kart has come a long way since their debut last year on Word Records. This project received much acclaim, including three songs on the top of the radio charts and over 200 dates on the road with bands such as BarlowGirl, Kutless and Pillar. Stellar Kart was one of the best selling new artists of 2005 at Canadian Christian retail, and received a GMA Music Award nomination for Rock Album of the Year and Best New Artist, and winning the Ignite Your Faith’s (formerly Campus Life) New Artist of the Year Award, as voted by the magazine’s readers.

Early reviews seem to confirm this album will be no different, Renown Magazine calls it “a fun, catchy release that is perfect for summertime driving.” And ChristianMusicToday.com states it’s “A definite progression for the band. We Can’t Stand Sitting Down is a fun, enjoyable summer album for the youth group set.”

When asked about the inspiration behind the tltle, Adam Agee, singer for the band, explained how Cody Pellerin, guitarist, said “I can’t stand sitting down anymore” when complaining about spending a day sitting down rehearsing. “After laughing about the statement, we realized that it was a great album title. It describes perfectly how we feel about our lives. We need to be getting out of our comfort zones, spreading the good news to everyone we can.”

We Can’t Stand Sitting Down is currently featured on HearItFirst.ca and is available today at your local Canadian Christian retailer.
