See Spot Rock Tour Comes To Toronto

Publish Date: Oct 05, 2005

The See Spot Rock Tour, featuring Pillar, Falling Up, Day of Fire, Stellar Kart and The Wedding, will be coming to Toronto on Saturday, December 10th.

Make no mistake about it, Pillar is not the rock ‘n’ roll of yesterday, but the forward moving revolution of today and tomorrow. Their zealous passion incinerates today’s gimmicky knockoffs, leaving pretenders in a dust storm of reckless rock upheaval. They broke onto the Christian music scene with 2002’s Fireproof and the momentum continues with Where Do We Go From Here.

Combining the intensity of modern rock with all the emotion involved in traditional praise and worship, Falling Up is here to prove their radical style is not a fleeting attempt at sticking to a trend, but a true declaration of the passion they hold for their ministry. Their latest release, Dawn Escapes just hit store shelves.

Day Of Fire literally burns with the intensity of an actual flame. Its driving rock sound is the perfect medium for it’s hard-hitting lyrics. The music grows organically from the band but the lyrics are straight from the life experience of front man, Josh Brown. It is the perfect blend of aggressive rock mixed with the message of hope.

Pop-punk band Stellar Kart has a mission to connect with youth. They have played and ministered at numerous camps and are now raring to carry its mission beyond camp borders. With an album title that means “full speed ahead,” All Gas. No Brake drives the group’s music and message forward, encouraging high schoolers to go all out for God.

It’s the attitude and crunching guitars that typically define the genre of rock ‘n’ roll. In the case of The Wedding, these elements plus punk infectiousness, emo refrains and hardcore intensity combine to create the band’s distinct sound. Music from their self-titled debut release was recently featured in several episodes of the popular MTV/CTV show Pimp My Ride.
