This week’s premieres feature a worship leader from Idaho and a pop/punk band from Arizona.
Although Scott Riggan has become known for his popular worship songs, he’s not exactly comfortable with the label of "worship artist". But with songs like I Love You Lord (his nationwide #1 radio hit) and his communion song Remember being sung in churches all over the world, Riggan started to feel some pressure to record a set of worship tunes for his second solo project. Defining worship as “as a life lived in submission to our great and holy God”, the result is an album of songs about “a life lived on the altar.
With their beginnings as a worship band for their youth group to releasing their major label debut, All Gas. No Brake last year, Stellar Kart has not forgotten their roots and still ministers to youth at camps. Their hard work has led to Dove Award nominations for 2006’s New Artist Of The Year and Rock Album Of The Year, and being voted Best New Artist Of The Year by readers of Campus Life’s Ignite Your Faith magazine. As a result, Stellar Kart was one of the best selling new artist of 2005 at Canadian Christian retail. Their new release release, We Can’t Stand Sitting Down is sure to be a hit with youth group kids.
Bring Glory is introductory priced at $14.99 for a limited time at participating Canadian Christian retailers while We Can’t Stand Sitting Down is permantely priced at $17.99. Visit HearItFirst.ca to hear newly added audio samples from these albums.
