Rocketown Records Forms New Imprint

Rocketown Records has formed RKT Music, and the new imprint’s first release will be Hyper Static Union’s Lifegiver, on May 9th.

While Rocketown primarily focuses on singer-songwriters, RKT will look for touring bands with active fan bases. In a recent interview with Radio & Records magazine, Third Day’s Mac Powell said the band had been working with Hyper Static Union and signed them to Third Day’s Consuming Fire Productions. Third Day brought Lifegiver to RKT for marketing and distribution. The first single, Overhead, is going for adds now at Christian CHR and Rock stations.

The label has also signed The Turning, a four-piece modern rock band,originally from Chattanooga, TN. Their debut CD, Learning to Lose, is scheduled to be in stores on June 6. Out of My Hands, the first radio single from Learning to Lose, is scheduled to release to Christian radio on March 17th.
