On a rainy and cold evening in Buffalo, NY, Robert Randolph & The Family Band rocked at soaked masses gathered at Lafayette Square. The free show was part of Thursday Night In The Square concert series. This was the second time in three years that the band has appeared here.
Part of the “Sacred Steel” movement where Randolph played pedal steel guitar at church in his home state of New Jersey, his pyrotechinics on the pedal steel has taken him to appearances with Eric Clapton and The Blind Boys Of Alabama. The band’s lastest release, Colorblind, features guest appearances by Clapton and Dave Matthews.
