This week’s premieres include the debuts of a vocal trio with a rich pedigree and a progressive worship band.
Prelude is comprised of Kara Tualatai, Rachel Hockett and Amanda Omartian. Each of these women hails from a strong Christian music heritage and has accomplished much on their own as well. Kara is a recognized artist with an established track record while Rachel has been singing since she was nine years old with her mother and father, Billy and Sarah Gaines. Amanda is the daughter of music producer Michael Omartian and noted author and speaker Stormie Omartian. Together they have a vocal blend that is unmatched.
Birmingham-based group Rush Of Fools has crafted their progressive worship style for more than a year as they played for churches and youth camps around the southern half of the United States. Winning the inaugural Band With A Mission contest in April of 2006, Rush Of Fools became the second Christian artist on Nashville based Midas Records. The band’s self-titled debut was produced by Jason Ingram (front man for The Longing and producer for Bebo Norman, Gary Holiday), Matt Bronleewe (Michael W. Smith, Leeland, Joy Williams), and Scott Davis (Jessie Daniels).
This past week, Undo, the first single from the album reached #1 on the Billboard Christian chart, R&R Christian AC Monitored chart and CRW Comprehensive chart.
Both Learn To Fly and the Rush Of Fools will be specially priced at $17.99 or less at participating Canadian Christian retailers. Head over to HearItFirst.ca to hear these upcoming releases.
