The Board of Directors of the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) announced the nominees for the 2008 Canadian Country Music Awards yesterday.
The most awarded artist in CCMA history, Paul Brandt personally received five nominations, In addition, the album and “Team Brant” garnered another six awards. They are:
In regards to the last category, beginning Friday, July 25th until Sunday, September 7th at 11:59 EST, the public can vote online at CMT.ca for their choice.
One of this year’s nominees for female artist of the year and last year’s Fans’ Choice Award winner Terri Clark will host the show, which will feature performers Jessie Farrell, George Canyon alongside previously announced performers Dierks Bentley, Doc Walker, Emerson Drive and Johnny Reid on September 8th at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The show will be broadcast nationally on CBC Television at 8pm with encore broadcasts on CMT.
