This week’s premieres feature a pair of Pauls whose musical styles may differ but whose message is the same.
In the short span of a decade, his name has become synonymous with Alberta, independence, and quality. Paul Brandt is the voice of Country Music in Canada. But these accolades haven’t come without a few twists and turns along the way. Ask Brandt, and he’ll tell you they’ve been the product of years of give and take, faith, and grace, words from the first single, Didn’t Even See The Dust, off of his latest album Risk.
Brandt reflects on the first single, “The song is about looking back at the past, but not dwelling in it. It’s about living in the moment. I think that for some ‘the dust’ referred to in the song will come to symbolize negativity, hardship and struggle. These things are inevitable in life, but how we respond to them defines us I’m excited about that message.”
This multi-platinum selling artist is noted as the most-awarded male Canadian Country Artist in history. Paul has toured North America and Europe, and his music and involvement with international aid organizations and support of the military has taken him to Ethiopia, Malawi, Uganda, Chile, Belize, South Korea, Cambodia and Bosnia.
Musicians appearing on the album include Dave Cleveland, Dan Needham, Scott Denté (Out of the Grey), Gordon Mote (Gaither Homeocming Series) and many more.
Paul Baloche, one of the world’s leading worship songwriters, will surely add to his growing list of top CCLI worship songs with his new release Our God Saves.
This follow-up release to the multiple award-winning A Greater Song continues with incredible new songs that include co-writes and duets with Matt Redman, Brenton Brown and Kathryn Scott. Other co-writers on this album include Glen Packiam (Desperation Band), Mia Fieldes (Hillsong), Kari Jobe (Gateway Worship) and Rita Baloche.
This enhanced CD contains chord charts, QuickTime movies, weblink and song stories. Other resources available include a songbook, CD-ROM songbook and CD Trax.
Paul’s song Open The Eyes of My Heart is currently #5 on the Canadian CCLI chart (songs sung in Canadian Churches).
Both Our God Saves and Risk will be spotlight priced at $17.99 or less at participating Canadian Christian retailers. Head over to HearItFirst.ca to hear these upcoming releases.
