Passion Movement Spreads North Of Border

First International Event Unites Toronto University Students

Tuesday night, November 22, university students from Toronto and southern Ontario will gather for Passion Toronto. More than a concert, this night of worship, teaching and prayer is designed to unite students throughout the city for His renown.

Passion Toronto will be held in the Ricoh Coliseum (at Exhibition Place) and is open to all university students and university-aged young people (age 18-25), as well as pastors and college ministry staff. The night is free, though an offering will be taken to help Passion do future events like Passion Toronto in other cities around the world.

Following in the tradition of Passion gatherings in collegiate hubs Boston and New York City, the Passion team is excited to be able to land north of the border in Toronto, Canada. Toronto is an amazingly beautiful city and is one of the most diverse metropolitan areas in the world. As well, over 300,000 university students live within a sixty-mile radius of downtown Toronto, with seventy thousand alone at the University of Toronto, located in the heart of the city.

The Passion staff was greatly encouraged after a recent meeting at historic Hart House on the University of Toronto campus where campus leaders gathered from across Toronto to pray for November 22 and celebrate the ways that God is at work in the city.

Worship leaders scheduled to appear that evening include Louie Giglio, David Crowder*Band, Charlie Hall and Chris Tomlin.
