Tooth and Nail recording artist Number One Gun is set to start 2008 on a high note with the release of The North Pole Project on January 15th. This is the band’s sophomore project for the label. While keeping up with the hook-filled, guitar based rock that the Chico, CA band is known and loved for, this album has a feel of maturity and variety that is sure to impress and intrigue their audience.
At the time of the recording, the band was going through a bit of restructuring, so frontman Jeff Schneeweis took the task in hand, writing and recording every part as he penned it. This semi-seclusion lead to the album’s title “The North Pole Project”, a name Schneeweis had always planned to use on a future solo project. The challenge stretched the confidence and talent of the young musician, however the finished project releases as a strong, mature rock album.
Do not fear, Number One Gun has regrouped and the full band will be touring consistently throughout 2008. Currently they are gearing up for their Winter West Coast tour with Brighten, Sever Your Ties and Kelowna, BC’s Secret and Whisper.
