Monk & Neagle Presents 21 Ways To Make Someone’s Day This Holiday Season

Publish Date: Dec 24, 2007

In the spirit of Monk & Neagle’s current single, The Twenty-First Time, Trent and Michael put together a list of 21 ways to make someone’s day this holiday season. You may have heard some of these on your local radio station throughout the past couple of weeks, but here’s the full list:

1. Next time you’re out and you see a homeless person, stop and ask if they would like a meal.

2. Next time you’re at a restaurant, leave a couple extra dollars on the tip for the waiter or waitress. It’s a small amount to you, but it’s gonna go a long way with that person.

3. When you’re out driving today, be more patient, and be more mindful of the drivers around you.

4. Volunteer at a nursing home. You’ll be surprised at how just a little bit of your time can bless others.

5. Offer to pick up lunch for some of your co-workers.

6. Donate winter clothes to a homeless shelter.

7. Parents, turn off your TVs and cell phones, and spend some quality time with your children today.

8. Donate a grocery gift card to someone in need at the local welfare office.

9. Help a stranger take their luggage off the carousel at the airport.

10. Volunteer your time at a local outreach centre in your community.

11. You can make a child’s Christmas by donating to Toys For Tots or a similar charity.

12. Write a thank you letter to your boss. It can be lonely at the top sometimes.

13. Are you going through the drive-through today? Pay for the person behind you. It will make someone’s day.

14. Fill your spouse’s car with gas today.

15. Offer free baby-sitting to a friend who needs a night out.

16. Volunteer at your local hospital or cancer center to bring a smile to someone who’s going through a rough time.

17. Hold the door open for a stranger today.

18. Bring cookies to work today.

19. Write a letter to a distant relative.

20. Help your neighbour out by raking or mowing their yard today.

21. Go through your closet and donate clothes you don’t wear anymore to your local Goodwill or Salvation Army.

From all of us at YourMusicZone.com, may your days be merry and bright… and may your Christmas be white.
