Michael W. Smith recently returned from a two-week tour of Europe where he performed to sold-out crowds in Italy, England and Holland as his new album It’s A Wonderful Christmas debuted at No. three with more than ten thousand scans on the Billboard Top Christian/Gospel Albums Chart. In addition, he performed in South Africa and spent time visiting the staff at the Living Hope Clinic in Cape Town.
“I’m thankful that I got to see the work that’s being done at this clinic. The people are passionate about Christ and serving their community. I’m glad I got to experience their hearts and incredible work, first hand,” shares Smith. He was so impressed with the clinic that he is splitting 100% of the proceeds from his December 22nd Christmas concert in Nashville, between the clinic and Rocketown.
Michael kicks off his It’s A Wonderful Christmas tour on November 29th in Binghampton, NY with special guests Melinda Doolittle and The Katinas. Each date will feature a full symphony orchestra. Canadian dates announced so far include two shows at the Winspear Centre For Music in Edmonton on December 17th and 18th. Visit the YMZ Concert listings from more details.
