Following in the footsteps of Andy Hunter and Matthew West, the baby boom in the Contemporary Christian industry continues as MercyMe welcomes two new baby boys into the world.
First, Jack Philip Bryson, was born to MercyMe keyboardist Jim Bryson and wife Misti on January 19th, weighing 6lbs, 6oz at 19 1/2” long. This is their second child.
Baby Jack, who happens to be a “spittin’ image” of his daddy, and proud papa Jim
and…
Levi Troy Shaffer, was born to first time parents MercyMe drummer Robby Shaffer and his wife Margaret on January 23rd, weighing 6 lbs., 1 oz at 19” long.

YMZ would like to congratulate Jim, Misti, Robby and Margaret on this very happy (and sleepless) time in their lives.
Things seem to be happening in pairs for the band lately. This past summer they released the DualDisc versions of Undone and Almost There on the same day while their Christmas album, The Christmas Sessions, was relased with two different covers.
You can congratulate the guys in person when they appear at Paramount Canada’s Wonderland together with Jeremy Camp, Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch and Pillar in Ontario this spring. Check out the YMZ Concert Listings for more details.
