I Shall Believe, the latest single from Matt Brouwer’s sophomore release, Unlearning, debuted this week at #37 on Billboard Magazine’s Christian AC and CHR charts.
The duet with Kendall Payne is a cover of a Sheryl Crow tune and it marks the first time that both Brouwer and Crow has graced the Christian chart either as an artist or writer.
Airplay for Brouwer’s version of the song has been consistently growing in the major U.S. radio markets which is surprising for the Canadian independent artist. At KDUV-FM in Visalia, California, the song has been number one in requests and market research for 17 straight weeks.
Matt appeared in front of 2,300 people at Fredericton, NB’s Worship In The Square this past summer
Originally, from Truro, NS, Brouwer is currently a worship leader at Woodlands United Methodist Church in Houston, TX where he took over from Chris Tomlin in 2002. Unlearning is a specially priced CD/DVD combo that has been available at Christian retailers across Canada. To locate retail store near you visit www.CMCStoreFinder.com.
