Every Reason Why, the debut project from Myrrh Records’ worship artist Mark Roach, entered at #8 on this week’s “Christian Retail” sales chart and at #3 on the “Praise and Worship” sales chart, according to SoundScan. The strong debut is the culmination of an aggressive street week promotional tour with label mates Pocket Full of Rocks.

Produced by Dove Award nominee Nathan Nockels (Chris Tomlin, Passion, Watermark), the record features a set of thought-provoking, accessible songs that are sure to become new anthems of the church. The CD also unlocks a website featuring MediaShout lyric files, chord charts, song-by-song descriptions, instructional videos and more.

Early reviews of the record include CBA Retailers+Resources Magazine, who described Roach as “On his way to becoming the next Chris Tomlin, with anthems reverberating in congregations everywhere…” and Worship Leader Magazine, which said, “It’s hard to beat an outstanding record full of completely accessible songs for the service of worship. So, Every Reason Why is hard to beat.”

Although Roach’s music may be new to some, over half a million Women of Faith “Amazing Freedom” conference attendees have sung two songs from Every Reason Why, You Are and Amazing. Additionally, Roach’s songs are featured on the Women of Faith Worship Team CD, Amazing Freedom.

As the worship pastor at Morning Star Church, one of the fastest-growing churches in Missouri, Roach was born to share his music with the world. His relationship with Christ and exposure to modern worship has birthed in him a desire to write relevant, accessible, Christ-centered songs for the church.

Since 2004, seven of Roach’s songs have appeared on a total of eight national compilation projects including WOW Next 2007, Absolute Modern Worship 2, SongDISCovery Vol. 53, and two appearances on Purpose Driven Ministries SongSeeker projects in 2004 and 2005. He has appeared at Re:Create, The Purpose Driven Worship Conference, The National Worship Leader Conference, and GMA Music In The Rockies. Roach has also already shared the stage with the likes of MercyMe, Matthew West and Jonah33.
