The heart of the Launch CDs is to take something as cool as rock n’ roll and change the world. The first Launch CD, The Journey Begins featured a ton of great bands including Hawk Nelson, Manafest, Trev from Thousand Foot Krutch, and Out Of The Monetary (OOTM). OOTM have a song on their CD, Currency Of Love, called “The Change We Want To See” which has become sort of an anthem for vision of these CDs. Throughout this past year we have scoured the current Canadian Christian music scene for the best new songs and artists who are making an impact. The result is the second installment of the Launch series entitled Ignition.
For this same reason we are happy to partner with World Vision and the Canadian Gospel Music Association and hold a late night showcase in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Friday October 21st at The McVety Centre with a portion of the proceeds going to World Vision and to the Canadian Gospel Music Association. Doors will open at approx 9:30 pm, following the end of the free worship event earlier that same evening and will feature performances by Relic, Hetti- Marie, The Silent, Beaumont, N.I.F.T.Y, Only Forward and Gaetz Ave. Advance tickets are available through http://www.yourticketzone.com for $10 and include a FREE CD. Tickets will also be available at the door for $12.
This concert is a tangible way to use something as fun as music to make a difference in the World.
“I believe we vastly under-estimate the impact Christian artists have on our world. There is an ages-old tradition of powerful and transformational creativity within the church that honours God’s creativity in the world and in our lives. We’re very thankful to partner with Canadian artists who through their willingness to be vessels of creation, move and inspire people to know God.” – Mike Bowman, Manager, Artist Associates at World Vision Canada
