This week’s premieres feature a Canadian worship leader and hardcore band from Atlanta.
Featuring internationally known worship leader /songwriter Klaus along with special guest vocals from Kari Jobe from Gateway Worship, Glory strikes a deep vein of worship that combines celebration, intimate moments and spontaneous expressions of worship encouraging believers to go deeper into the things of God.
Recorded live at Christ For The Nations Institute, Glory features a powerful mix of Klaus’ best known songs, dynamic new offerings and amazing keyboard interludes for a rich sound of worship that is sure to find its way into the hearts of many around the world.
Born in Germany, Klaus and his parents moved to the United States when he was barely old enough to walk. The family lived in Michigan and Chicago for a season, only to settle in Canada when Klaus was still young. All along, Klaus spent his formative years playing the piano and studying jazz and classical music, which laid the theoretical groundwork for when, following high school, Klaus moved to Dallas to attend CFNI.
Other resources for Glory include a songbook, CD-Trax, and a fully transposable CD-ROM songbook.
Norma Jean lead singer Corey Brandon says, “The AntiMother is a character we created which represents anything that is deceptive, and yet possesses an outwardly beautiful nature.”
The band once again teamed up with producer Ross Robinson (Korn, The Cure, Slipknot) to create the follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2006’s Redeemer. Norma Jean has cut a path in metal music, and continues to push boundaries and push limits on The Anti Mother, creating a symphony of discourse and chest pounding songs. A perfect addition to an already astonishing catalogue of music, The Anti Mother once again shows why Norma Jean are trend setters and a leader in their genre.
Norma Jean will be headlining the Vans Warped Tour this summer with such acts as Relient K, Anberlin, Family Force 5, The Devil Wears Prada and many more. Check the YMZ Concert Listings for more details on the Canadian dates.
Both albums will be arriving at your local Canadian Christian retailer on August 5th. Keep track of all the new and upcoming releases via your own personal copy of the August New Music Tuesday poster. Head over to HearItFirst.ca to hear more from these new releases.
