Go Fish, an emerging force in family entertainment, is set to release their latest CD, Snooze, and their debut DVD, Showtime, on March 14th.

Snooze is a collection of songs for bedtime, including a reworking of the Go Fish concert favourite, You’re My Little Girl, and such new songs as Catch A Falling Star and Little Buckaroo. Showtime features footage shot during a series of Go Fish concerts held last year at Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota, along with music videos for This Little Light Of Mine, I’ve Got The Joy, That Acappella Sound, Superstar and the trio’s popular concert number, The Ten Commandment Boogie.

“My son loves our music but when it’s time for him to go to sleep, I have to skip around on our albums to avoid fast tunes,” said Go Fish founding member Jamie Statema. “Parents have been asking us for a project like Snooze. And with Showtime, children are so visual, so we want to give kids who have never seen one of our concerts a sense of what that experience is like. We also wanted to give them a glimpse of each of our personalities.”

Go Fish was founded in 1993 by Jamie Statema. The trio, known for their acappella harmonies, recorded a number of successful independent projects and developed an enthusiastic concert following. In 2001, Go Fish signed to inpop records, where they released two albums. In 2003, the group released Splash, their first recording for kids, and sold out their debut children’s concerts within hours. The overwhelming response from families led to their decision to focus exclusively on creating “great music for kids that won’t drive parents bonkers.” Splash was followed by the release of Superstar in 2004.
