Following a whirlwind year of performances across Canada, 2005 Juno, Shai and Covenant Award winner Greg Sczebel will be performing a series of Christmas shows closer to home this season. For the second consecutive year, he will be the special guest at the annual Christmas production at Trinity Baptist Church in Kelowna, BC, performing a total of 6 shows over December 23rd and 24th.
“Being involved in last years production was one of the highlights of my year”, said Sczebel, “the cast and production team were so great to work with. In a way they’ve become my extended family over this year and what better way to celebrate Christmas than with family!”
Sczebel recently wrapped up a short tour of Northern BC and Alberta, promoting his debut album Here to Stay which recently won the Western Canadian Music Award for ‘Outstanding Christian Recording’, the Covenant Award for ‘Urban Song of the Year’, and earlier this year took home the Juno Award for ‘Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year’.
In 2004, the Christmas production at Trinity Baptist featuring Sczebel drew over 10,000 guests and this year’s production, One Starry Night is expected to exceed that number. Multiple performances are scheduled for December 23 and December 24. Admission is free. For more information visit the YMZ concert listings.
