Athens, Georgia-based band Julian Drive has signed an exclusive label agreement with Inpop Records. The band will release its debut single, “From His Hands”, to AC radio June 20th.

Founded by lead singer Shane Bowers and keyboardist Shaun Bennett, Julian Drive additionally comprises guitarist Jesse Triplett, bassist James Nitz, and drummer Brian Wilson. After playing the local church circuit near their hometown of Athens, Georgia for some time, Julian Drive entered and won the 2004 Exalting Him National Talent Search, beating out 2000 other contestants. This platform provided opportunities for the band to perform nationally, and by 2007 Julian Drive had played more than 260 events coast to coast, sharing the stage with such celebrated artists as Rush of Fools, Big Daddy Weave, David Crowder Band, Day of Fire, Disciple, Israel Houghton, Building 429, and David Phelps, among others

“We are very excited about working with Julian Drive,” says Inpop President Dale Bray. “The band has a great work ethic as well as wonderful musical and spiritual depth. It’s been a while since I’ve heard a new artist so suited to both our retail and radio markets.”

“Our grassroots ministry has been plugging away for several years now and God has allowed us to reach so many lost souls through the platform created by our music,” says Julian Drive’s Shane Bowers. “Signing to Inpop has opened up an entirely new avenue for what we’ve been called to do as a band and as ministers of the Gospel.”

Julian Drive’s debut radio single, “From His Hands”, will be going for adds at Christian Adult Contemporary radio beginning June 20th. Boasting a straight-ahead, pop-rock sound comparable to popular artists like Daughtry, MercyMe, and Casting Crowns, the band’s Inpop Records release is currently slated for early 2009.
