This week’s premieres feature the frontman for Switchfoot and the third release from a California-based pop/rock outfit.
Millions have experienced the music of Jon Foreman through the multi-platinum success of his internationally-renowned band, Switchfoot.
Foreman returns to his indie-scene roots by releasing four solo EPs prior to the next Switchfoot release. These EPs, titled Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer, feature some of Foreman’s most personal songs to date with innovative arrangements and inspired and intimate production.
This two disc collection features both the Fall EP and Winter EP in their entirety. The Spring EP and Summer EP will be released in a separate two disc collection later in 2008. The packaging of the two projects can be joined together to form “one entire year”.
Guest musicians include Charlie Peacock, Switchfoot bandmate Jerome Fontamillas and Stacy DuPree of Eisley.
A portion of every record sold goes to the Lowercase People Justice Fund.
In 2005, Number One Gun made their Tooth & Nail debut with Promises For The Imperfect, which brought them national acclaim for their generous pop hooks and driving melodies.
After some needed rest, singer and songwriter for the band Jeff Schneeweis takes the engineering helm on the follow up entitled The North Pole Project. The band has grown and improved on the rock formula that brought them to the public eye, as well as pushing the limits of what defined them as a band.
This album features the singles “Wake Me Up”, “This Holiday”, and “Million”. Number One Gun is a band that never disappoints and takes song-writing as a priority for their band.
Both projects will be arriving at your local Canadian Christian retailer on January 15th. Head over to HearItFirst.ca to hear more from these great upcoming releases.
