Downhere’s Jason Germain shares one of his favourite Christmas memories with us.
“One of my favourite Christmas times was the year the Germain family hosted the the extended family dominated by the Orr family at our quaint home in Gananoque, Ontario. I believe it was 1994. There was a massive snow storm on the 24th, so in the morning after the reading of the nativity stockings and the traditional waffle breakfast… we played street hockey in freshly ploughed snow… after a day of sunny snow fun we came in for the massive turkey dinner which features our traditional dish “suet pudding”. In the evening, dad made a fire and we sang old Irish songs and carols to my uncles stand-up double bass, several guitars and that old piano that to this day has not been tuned.”
Make sure to take a listen to downhere’s How Many Kings and Glory to God in the Highest on the Christmas compilation, Bethlehem Skyline, available now at your local Canadian Christian retailer.
