Since legally being wed on December 5th, 2006 at a small get together in Franklin, TN followed by a formal ceremony in Austin, TX on December 17th, the couple has worked on music, settled down in Nashville, TN and NOW is preparing for a new addition to their budding family, due mid-November, a baby BOY!!!
The proud parents-to-be state, “This has been a great year! 2007 promises to be even better with the arrival of our first child. We’re thrilled and already feel creatively inspired by our son.”
During her pregnancy, Jaci will be in the studio working on her next album. This new CD will be produced by Mark Heimermann, who has worked with Jaci in the past on albums such as Crystal Clear and her platinum-selling debut Heavenly Place. Through her highly-successful debut, Velasquez became the newest sensation in Christian music, winning the Gospel Music Association’s Dove Award for Best New Artist in 1997. Now, 11 years later, her new album will be released by her label Apostrophe Records in early 2008.
Jaci also is busy making select concert appearances and will also be helping promote Max Lucado’s 3:16 Songs of Hope album which is the companion CD to the compelling new book from New York Times best-selling author Max Lucado in which she has a brand new recording now at radio called Loved By You. The album also features award-winning recording artists Third Day, Alison Krauss, Michael W. Smith, Chris Tomlin, and many more sharing musical tributes to the timeless message of John 3:16. A companion DVD, Max Lucado’s 3:16 Stories Of Hope, is also available. It features 12 teaching segments by Max that unpack this timeless message – phrase by enduring phrase. The DVD also features an exclusive short film written by Lucado that tells the “prodigal” story in an inspiring and challenging new way.
