Integrity Music announces the October 14th release of Paul Baloche: The Writer’s Collection, a “best of” CD and companion digital songbook that offer 14 of the Dove Award winning writer’s most popular songs.
Regarded as one of the pre-eminent worship writers of the contemporary Church, Baloche has penned songs that are literally sung by millions of people in churches around the world. His work includes songs such as “Above All”, “Hosanna”, “Our God Saves”, “Your Name”, “All The Earth Will Sing Your Praises” and “Open The Eyes of My Heart”.
The Writer’s Collection offers these songs and others including a new version of “Open The Eyes of My Heart” that was produced by GRAMMY® Award winner and two-time GMA Dove Award Producer of the Year Ed Cash. The companion CD-ROM digital songbook features lead sheets, transposable sheet music, chord charts and lyric text files for all 14 tracks.
Both the CD and digital songbook will be available at Canadian Christian retailers beginning October 14th.
In addition to writing and recording with Integrity Music, Baloche has created a variety of instructional DVDs for worship leaders and musicians and has written a book, God Songs How to Write and Select Songs for Worship. He is known in Christian music circles for cultivating a sense of community among writers, often co-writing with the likes of Brenton Brown, Kathryn Scott, Glenn Packiam, Lincoln Brewster and Lenny LeBlanc to name a few. Most recently, he co-wrote the song “A New Hallelujah” with Michael W. Smith for Smith’s new album by the same name. Baloche also is a writer/artist for Compassionart, a charity dedicated to seeing works of art generate income for the relief of suffering around the planet.
Baloche serves as worship leader at his home church, Community Christian Fellowship, in Lindale, Texas. He and his wife Rita Baloche, also a songwriter, have three children.
This fall, Baloche will be touring Eastern Canada with Robin Mark and Joel Augé on separate dates. Between October 17th and 18th, he will be appearing at the Unite In Worship Conference in Cambridge, ON. Check the YMZ concert Listings for the complete itinerary and Baloche’s YMZ artist page for more on The Writer’s Collection.
