Inpop Records’ newest addition, modern rock band Everyday Sunday makes an extraordinary debut on both the Christian Hit Radio and Christian Rock charts after 29 stations added singles Find Me Tonight and title track Wake Up! Wake Up! their first week. This early radio success sets the stage for the band’s anticipated May 22nd release.

According to this week’s Radio & Records Christian Hit Radio chart, “Find Me Tonight” entered at No. 27, while scoring the No. 22 position as maintained by Christian Radio Weekly. Stace Whitmire, WAY-FM music director, affirms “We are so excited about ‘Find Me Tonight’. It’s definitely got what we look for in a song: amazing lyrics that connect instantly, as well as a great sound!”

Additionally, the band’s debut Christian Rock single “Wake Up! Wake Up” also received 29 adds its initial week, landing at No. 22 on R&R and No. 19 on CRW.

“To debut in the Top 30 in the first week is unheard of,” says Dale Bray, president of Inpop Records. “It’s certainly an incredible start to 2007. We love this band, and we are pleased that radio is 110% on board in supporting them. For Inpop and Everyday Sunday it’s just the start!”

Band frontman Trey Pearson comments on the news, “We are very excited and honored that so many people are taking to the singles and our new album already. We just can’t wait to see where God continues to take us.”

Comprising Trey Pearson (lead vocals), Jesse Counts (guitar), Dan Hunter (bass) and Chris Hines (drums), Everyday Sunday hails from Columbus, Ohio. Attracting a national audience with its 2001 independent Christian Hit Radio single, “Just a Story,” Everyday Sunday joined Flicker Records’ roster in 2002. The band released two successful projects with Flicker, Stand Up and Anthems for the Imperfect, while raking in numerous accolades, including being named among CCM Magazine’s “Favorite New Artists of 2003,” as well as “Best New Artist of the Year” by TVU Music Television. Also in 2003, Everyday Sunday made an impact as one of the Top 10 “Major Impact Artists” for CHR, and its single “Hanging On,” from Stand Up, was the No. 6 most played CHR song of the year.

Produced by Ian Eskelin (Krystal Meyers, Stellar Kart, All Star United), Wake Up! Wake Up! delivers the same diversity and solid pop sound that has come to define Everyday Sunday’s music. Additional information on the project is forthcoming but you can read more about the new project on Everyday Sunday’s YMZ artist page.
