Hillsong United has topped the Canadian Christian music retail sales chart for 2007. The Australia-based modern worship band provided the #1 album of the year with All Of The Above based on sales as reported by Canadian Christian retail stores.
tobyMac landed at #2 with his latest release (portable sounds) followed by Casting Crowns with The Altar and The Door at #3, Brian Doerksen with Holy God at #4 and Relient K with Five Score and Seven Years Ago at #5.
The rest of the top ten included Chris Tomlin with See The Morning at #6, WoW Hits 2007 at #7, WoW Hymns at #8, Skillet with Comatose at #9 and Robin Mark with East Of The River at #10. Once again, Praise and Worship dominated the overall year end charts with the largest slice of the pie.
Canadian artists who also fared well included Starfield (#24 and #26), Thousand Foot Krutch (#31), Brian Doerksen again (#37 and #48), Hawk Nelson (#55), downhere (#93) and Paul Brandt (#99).
