Hillsong Tops Canadian Sales Chart

Publish Date: Sep 11, 2007

Australia’s Hillsong tops the chart in Canada once again, albeit with a different album.

After a three month stint at the top of the Canadian Christian music chart Hillsong United’s All Of The Above has been replaced by Hillsong’s Saviour King.

The new live project released in early August. Following on Saviour King’s tail is Casting Crown’s new release The Altar And The Door which enters the chart at #2 based on only four days sales in August. The album is the Atlanta-based band’s third studio project. BarlowGirl takes a jump up the chart from #18 to #4 with How Can We Be Silent, and Leeland returns to the top 10 again at #6 up from #17 with Sound Of Melodies.

Other new entries to the chart include Third Day’s Chronology Volume 2 (2001-2006) at #13, Point Of Grace at #21 with How You Live (which released August 28th), Mandisa at #28 with True Beauty and VeggieTales with God Made You Special at #30.

Sales are based on figure for the month of August as reported by Canadian Christian retail stores. Download your own personal copy of the chart here.
