Gearing up for the October 21st release of Unsearchable, Gwen Smith and Great Worship Songs have partnered with Word Entertainment’s WorshipSource.com to provide an advance offering of music. Intentionally produced as a resource, the live album is enhanced with charts and song devotionals for specific songs with additional resources provided through the WorshipSource.com and GreatWorshipSongs.com partnership.
WorshipSource.com is a social networking site, owned and operated by Word Entertainment for worship artists, leaders and fans covering all aspects of worship culture. Recently launched in February 2008, the site has a growing membership of over 3,000 worship leaders and actively co-operates with other worship-focused companies.
“There is a growing sense of excitement and anticipation surrounding the release of Gwen’s new live worship CD, Unsearchable,” exclaims Dale Mathews, President of Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing. “Gwen has such a strong, charismatic presence about her and that presence is being exposed to more and more people through her various ministry outlets such as the ‘Girlfriend in God’ conferences, Crosswalk.com, the successful release of her Harvest House book, Broken Into Beautiful, and now, the release of her new CD on GreatWorshipSongs. Through the efforts of WorshipSource.com and GreatWorshipSongs, we believe we are adding another valuable ingredient that will make people aware of Gwen’s gifts and ministry. More importantly, we are resourcing the church with powerful new worship songs.”
Before signing with Great Worship Songs/Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, the multifaceted Smith co-founded the “Girlfriends in God” conferences with authors Mary Southerland and Sharon Jaynes. The conferences, which are designed to encourage, equip and empower women for the journey of life, are “turn-key” events merging with various ministries, churches and organizations to meet the needs of the local community. With the growth of the conference, the impact of Unsearchable will be directed to the lives of women. As quoted on the “Girlfriends in God” website), “Girlfriends in God is a non-denominational conference ministry that crosses generational and racial boundaries to bring the body of Christ together as believers. Just as God sent Ruth to Naomi and Mary to Elizabeth, God continues to use women to encourage and equip other women in their spiritual journey.”
