Juno Award winner Greg Sczebel will be streaming tonight’s live concert via StreamingCafe.net at 8:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
Sczebel’s latest project, Love & The Lack Thereof, was released on October 20th. The 13 tracks (all penned and co-produced by Sczebel) offer a wide variety of musical styles, including the bombastic “Causin’ A Commotion”, a high energy New Orleans/Blues jam with a beat as big as Texas. Then there’s the show-stopping 70’s inspired pop number, “Stop (You’ve Only Got One Heart)” and the feel-good Rock/Pop opener, “One By One”.
Known for his moving ballads, Sczebel’s new album is no exception with the emotive track, “Homeland” (a Grand Prize winner in the international John Lennon Songwriting Contest), the folk tinged, “This is Worth Fighting For” and the epic nine minute-long rock opera, “Canceling the Noise”, which features the Nashville string section, Love Sponge (Chris Tomlin, Brandon Heath, Jason Mraz, KT Tunstall, Backstreet Boys). This genre-bending release contains such a wide array of sounds and songs, to say there is something for everyone might just be an understatement.
Love & The Lack Thereof was produced by Greg and Jerry Sczebel; mixed by F. Reid Shippen (Johnny Lang, India.Arie, Backstreet Boys, A Fine Frenzy), Mike Fraser (Sam Roberts Band, Hedley, Aerosmith) and mastered by Greg Calbi (John Mayer, Bob Dylan, Avalon). The album is released in a limited edition six-panel Digipak complete with a full color 12 page booklet.
Check out songs from the album and the story behind it on Sczebel’s YMZ artist page. Specially priced at $14.99, Love & The Lack Thereof is available at Christian retailers across Canada.
