This week’s premieres feature sophomore releases from a “bionic” rock band and a worship leader from one of the largest churches in Colorado.
Orlando, Florida’s Fireflight releases their sophomore project Unbreakable, an album full of catchy hooks and rockin’ riffs that are sure to inspire.
The first single, “Unbreakable” can be heard on radio stations nationwide and was featured on commercials for the TV series “Bionic Woman”. The song has been No. 1 Christian rock song in the country for a third week in a row. The band’s new hit climbs to the top spot after only seven weeks since its release to radio and remains No. 1 on both Radio & Record’s and Christian Radio Weekly’s Rock charts, while coming in as the most-added song of the week on R&R’s CHR format at No. 14.
Lead singer Dawn Richardson says, “I hope this song continues to inspire listeners at radio to overcome a defeated mentality and find power to remain strong amid the landscape, not allowing fear to hold us back from having victory over the things that used to control us.”
Jared Anderson is back with Where Faith Comes From, filled with more incredible passionate songs from the heart of one of today’s top songwriters.
As the writer of top worship songs “Rescue”, “Amazed” and “Hear Us From Heaven”, Jared is known in the worship community as a bright and fresh songwriter who crafts songs that help lead us into the presence of God.
Where Faith Comes From is focused more on the message than his debut release Where To Begin. The lyrics here are Psalm-like, echoing the many aspects of David, from the bold Warrior-King (“I’ve slayed the darkest dragons like immortal Frodo Baggins” ) to the ecstatic God-Lover (“All of your promises won’t let go of me!” ). The music on this album supports those forthright, distinct lyrics. “I tried to strip it down,” Jared explains. “It’s more about the actual worship that we are called to live every day.”
Both titles will be arriving on the shelves at your local Canadian Christian retailer this coming Tuesday, March 4th. Head over to HearItFirst.ca to hear more from these new releases.
