Emery And Press Play Featured On HearItFirst.ca

Publish Date: May 29, 2009

This week’s premieres include the latest from a hard rock outfit and the debut from a band based out of the Dream Center.

Emery are no strangers to success, having played thousands of shows all over the world during their career.

Having radio success and critical acclaim from each of their albums. In Shallow Seas We Sail brings Emery full circle back to their roots as one of the premier bands in their genre. Combining the intensity that put them on the map, with the experience that years on the road will bring to musicians.

Returning to work with producer Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, Mae, Emery) to create their best sounding record of their career, with the best song writing of their tenure. In Shallow Seas We Sail will not disappoint for old fans and is sure to secure them plenty of new enthusiasts.

Press Play is driven by the vocal and songwriting vision of David Hanley. Hanley’s musical leadership is complemented by a striking array of emerging young talents, including vocalist Paige Adkins (daughter of comedian Sinbad) and guitar-slinger Tyler Logan. Brought together by a common passion for music, Press Play has exploded into a multimedia experience onstage.

Captivating fans with dynamic and heartfelt songs, Press Play presents a collection of synth pop and guitar driven tunes in Life Is Beautiful. Their debut project contains guest performances by Darlene Zschech (Hillsong), IROCC, and Tyler Williams (Everybody Hates Chris).

Press Play comes from The Dream Center, an inner-city ministry based in Los Angeles. At the Dream Center, 22,000 people are fed weekly, 750 people are housed on a daily basis, 1 million pounds of food is distributed a month and 5,000 people are clothed each month. All proceeds from this album’s sales will be used in the many ministries at The Dream Center.

Life Is Beautiful is available now, while In Shallow Seas We Sail will be available on Tuesday, June 2nd at your local Canadian Christian retailer.
