Juno and Dove award-winning band Downhere, has recently announced a Canadian tour with 10 stops from Southern Ontario to Eastern Canada in support of their upcoming project, Wide-Eyed and Mystified, due to release on May 23rd.
Produced by Greg Collins (U2, Gwen Stefani) and Mark Heimerman (dc Talk), the album is a result of much writing, soul-searching, and wrestling with the Lord and with His timing. Thus, themes like surrender and rearranging priorities will figure prominently into the equation.
“The time in the studio was a nice break from our traveling schedule,” says drummer and newlywed Jeremy Thiessen. “It’s been great to be at home preparing for this next season. We are excited to hit the road again soon!”
Accompanying Downhere on The Wide-Eyed and Mystified Tour will be newcomers The Silent. With a number 1 radio hit Aloud under their belt, this Moncton-based band is set to release their debut recording, The Unseen, on the tour and in retail stores on March 28th. The album was produced by Julian Kindred (Delirious?, Audio Adrenaline, PhatFish) and mastered by Abbey Road Studios legendary engineer Chris Blair (Sting, Coldplay, Radiohead).
