With the release date of Southern Hospitality less than a week away, Disciple has been selected to participate in Hard Rock Café’s Pinktober in Nashville, TN. on Wednesday, October 29th. In its ninth consecutive year, Pinktober is Hard Rock’s signature Breast Cancer Awareness Concert Series to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer charities around the globe with all proceeds benefiting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
With Pinktober celebrations taking place across the world in other locations such as Maui, Paris, London and Toronto, Disciple is joining the likes of The Donnas, Melissa Etheridge, All American Rejects and Jon McLaughlin who also have pledged their Hard Rock Café performances to finding a cure for breast cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates that over 150,000 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer this year alone. Below are more details about the Oct. 29 show, 100% of the door charge proceeds for the show will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Nashville Chapter:

Following the best selling record of their 15-year career, Scars Remain, celebrated rock act Disciple offers Southern Hospitality releasing October 21st. Produced by Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Pillar), Southern Hospitality offers 12 new tracks from what lead singer Kevin Young describes as their most incredible record making experience to date. In support of Southern Hospitality, the band will be making promo stops and radio visits in Portland, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Nashville.
The first rock single off of Southern Hospitality, “3,2,1”, continues to rise on the rock radio charts while their upcoming CHR single, “Whatever Reason” is going for adds tomorrow (October 17th). Disciple has also been selected as an Artist to Watch for Clear Channel’s online program called NEW! The band’s rock genre feature will be posted throughout the month of October and will appear on over 400 radio station websites.
Disciple’s first release on INO Records Disciple (2005) brought home three No. 1 hits, while their sophomore album Scars Remain (2006) became the highest selling record of their career, scanning 100,000 units. Disciple has been nominated for a whopping eight GMA Dove Awards including a win for Rock Album of the Year in 2007, while their hit single “Game On” received massive placement in sports shows across the country including “Best Damn Sports Show”, NFL’s “Total Axxess”, WWE’s “Cyber Sunday” and Speed TV’s “Speed Report”, as well as in venues such as Wachovia Center in Philadelphia and even Madison Square Garden in New York City. The single was also used in promotion for CBS shows “Criminal Minds” and “CSI Miami”. This year, the rockers were chosen to write a song for “WWE: The Music Vol. 8” and WWE superstar duo Hawkins and Ryder.
