Disciple is back and poised to become one of the breakout artists of 2005. After several years of independent success, Disciple returns full-force to the international scene with their self-titled new release on S/R/E Recordings.
Produced and engineered by Travis Wyrick (P.O.D, Pillar), “Disciple” will be available and specially priced at Christian retailers across Canada on Tuesday June 7th (to find a store near you visit http://www.cmcstorefinder.com). Fusing stadium-ready guitar riffs, anthemic choruses, and stomping backbeats with passionate lyrics that proclaim a message of hope, Disciple stuffs their brand new record with muscle, both sonically and emotionally. Huge riffs and even bigger choruses that bounce around in your brain will have you rolling down your car windows and singing at the top of you lungs – and that’s what rock & roll is all about, right?
“When we made records in the past it was all about how fast we could play, how hard, how much can I scream”, says Kevin Young (rock vocalist extraordinaire), “But this time we were listening to a bunch of different music. We felt like we could keep our edge, but sing melodies. We felt like we could write a hook. We sat down with Travis and asked him to really dig in and help us. We were blown away by the results.” You will be too! To hear samples of this great record before it’s available, go to http://cmcdistribution.com/book3/music/disciple.htm
Based out of Knoxville Tennessee, Disciple formed in 1992 and has since gone on to release 6 number one rock hits and garner 4 Dove nominations.
