Disciple Land New Song On WWE’s Latest Album With Support From WWE Stars Hawkins & Ryder

INO Rockers Disciple’s new song “In The Middle Of It Now” will be among the tracks featured on “WWE: The Music Vol. 8” which also includes tracks from other rock artists such as Saliva, Axel and Airbourne. “WWE: The Music Vol. 8” unleashes right in time for WWE’s biggest bash of the year, WrestleMania® XXIV live on pay-per-view on Sunday, March 30th at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, FL.

WWE stars Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder will also be using the new rock anthem “In The Middle of it Now” as the duo’s theme song. “We were totally excited when we heard it because we wanted something different unlike anybody else on the show,” says Hawkins. “It definitely gave us a good kick start in the right direction.” An interview with the star wrestling pair and Disciple lead vocalist Kevin Young appears in the latest WWE Superstar to Superstar feature.

The rock powerhouse group also raked in two Gospel Music Award nominations from their sophomore project Scars Remain. The album is nominated for Rock/Contemporary Album and their multi-format radio hit “After the World” is nominated for Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song. The 39th annual Gospel Music Awards will air live on Gospel Music Channel on April 23rd.

The Knoxville, Tenn. foursome’s first self-titled studio release Disciple (2005) sold nearly 100,000 units and brought home three No. 1 hits. Disciple has also been nominated for a whopping eight Gospel Music Awards, and their sophomore album Scars Remain (2006) has already garnered a No. 1 hit. “Game On” from their sophomore project also received massive placement in sports shows across the country including NFL’s “Total Axxess”, WWE’s “Cyber Sunday” and Speed TV’s “Speed Report,” as well as venues such as Wachovia Center in Philadelphia and even Madison Square Garden in New York City. The single was also used in promotion for “Criminal Minds” and “CSI: Miami”.

Disciple is set to embark on Superchic[k]’s 43 city “Cross The Line” tour together with KJ-52, Britt Nicole and Starlit Platoon starting tomorrow in Springfield, MO.
