Multi-Platinum™ selling band Diamond Rio will be making a string of media appearances to continue promoting their new book from Thomas Nelson publishers titled Beautiful Mess, and their eleventh album, The Reason, on Word Records that released on September 22nd.

Diamond Rio had the chance to sit down with acclaimed radio personality Delilah at the Grand Ole Opry’s birthday celebration last Saturday evening where the band performed and Delilah served as a co-host for the event. Band front man Marty Roe and guitarist Jimmy Olander discussed their new book and album as well as about their family life and work with Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
The six time vocal group of the year also appeared on TBN’s popular “Praise the Lord” program on Friday, October 8th with host Jason Crabb.
Next up for the group will be an appearance on The 700 Club this Thursday, October 15th Hosted by Pat Robertson, Terry Meeuwsen and Gordon Robertson with news anchor Lee Webb, The 700 Club is a live television program that airs weekdays before a live studio audience and can be seen in more than 200 countries. CMT Insider will also be highlighting the group on this week’s episode airing Saturday, October 17th at 1:30 p.m. ET/PT and Sunday, October 18th at 11:00 a.m. ET/PT.

Formed in 1984, Diamond Rio features lead singer Marty Roe, guitarist Jimmy Olander, drummer Brian Prout, keyboardist Dan Truman, bassist/harmony Dana Williams and Gene Johnson on mandolin/harmony. The band signed with Arista in 1988 and embarked on one of the most successful careers in country music. The band has sold over 10 million albums earning three Platinum® and five Gold® records and won the Country Music Association’s Vocal Group of the Year award four times as well as netting two Academy of Country Music Awards in the top Vocal Group of the Year category and thirteen GRAMMY® nominations.
