This week’s premiere’s feature the offshoot from one of Southern Gospel music’s best-loved groups and the offspring from two members of one of Canada’s best-loved Gospel choirs.

A little more than ten years ago, a group of siblings from rural Kentucky stormed the Christian music industry. With success equivalent to only legends, the Crabb Family carried their banner strong through numerous chart-topping songs, too many awards to name and literally thousands of souls won into the kingdom of God. The mark they made on the music industry, but more importantly on the family of God, will never be forgotten.

In the centre of the heart of the Crabb Family were siblings Adam Crabb and Terah Penhollow. Both uniquely gifted, this pair bring together the necessary components carrying the torch with their new group, Crabb Revival.

Terah and Adam are joined by Zach Smith (vocals, lead guitar), Micah Schweinsberg (drums) and Jedidiah Richardson (bass guitar). With members already rich with success, Crabb Revival is poised for even higher heights with their debut release Runaway Train.

If you are looking for a fresh new innovation in the Gospel music scene, you will find it in the singer-songwriter Jenna Burke. Her acoustic soulful delivery combined with her talent for crafting creative and heartfelt lyrics are a breath of fresh air. At 22, Burke already has developed a unique sound, which showcases the messages that she wants to share about the place of God in her life.

Drawing her musical influences from Jill Scott, Donny Hathaway and India Arie, Jenna is committed to sharing the love and power of God through her songs. Burke’s anticipated debut album, appropriately titled Insight, is a snapshot of the musical journey on which she finds herself. Listeners can expect to hear music that is both captivating and sincere. Burke comments, “I have new insight… I can see the world through brand new eyes”.

A sought after studio vocalist as well as a prolific songwriter, Burke’s music has received rave reviews from not only her audiences but from other recording artists who want to sing her songs.

Burke is the daughter of Karen Burke, Director of the Toronto Mass Choir and Oswald Burke, Executive Producer for the choir.
