Crabb Family Makes History With Highest Debut in Chart History

Publish Date: Jul 08, 2005

The Crabb Family recently learned that their current single,  Shepard’s Call,  debuted on the Top 80 national radio chart at number 7 for the August edition of the Singing News Chart.  This position is the highest debut in the history of the chart.

Kelly Bowling commented,  “Our family was both thrilled and shocked when we heard about Shepard’s Call debuting so high on the chart for August.  Everyday we are blown away with how God has blessed our family.  Our deepest appreciation goes out to our friends, fans and radio stations for their continuous support of our ministry.”

While his brothers and sisters were on vacation, award-winning vocalist Jason Crabb took center stage Sunday, June 26th at the Greater New York Billy Graham Crusade. The event was held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York City, where Jason performed with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.  Other performances included Gaither Vocal Band, George Beverly Shea, Marcos Witt, Ricky Skaggs, MercyMe and Michael W. Smith.

The Greater New York Crusade took place June 24-26, 2005 with more than 242,000 in attendance and over 9,400 people committing their lives to Christ. Known for his messages of hope and love, Billy Graham has preached the Gospel to more than 210 million people in over 185 countries and territories.

From a small, storefront church in rural Kentucky, to stages, auditoriums and amphitheaters across America, The Crabb Family has become one of Gospel music’s greatest success stories, and one of the freshest-and hottest-acts to hit the music industry in memory. Siblings Jason, Kelly, Terah, Aaron, and Adam Crabb, ranging in age from 22 to 28, have been honored with numerous awards, including eight Dove Awards, two GRAMMY nominations, as well as unprecedented success at radio—with 16 number one songs, and on tour—with nearly one million attending Crabb concerts last year.
