The Christian Booksellers Association of Canada (CBA Canada) recently celebrated it’s 35th Anniversary in Ottawa with it’s annual convention and trade show. Attended by Christian retail outlets from British Columbia to Newfoundland the 5 day event kicked off with a Brian Doerksen worship event with over 1200 in attendance including delegates from CBA bookstores, attendees from a Women Alive conference (also being held in Ottawa) and the general public. Brian was joined on stage by his stellar band and Oakville’s Sean Dayton. Other musical guests included Kim Haller (who also performed at the Women Alive conference), Juno Award winner Greg Sczebel and Brampton’s Carried Away.
CMC Distribution, Canada’s largest distributor of Christian music, picked up an award for “booth of the year” for its rustic barn-like design heralding the upcoming release of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and Wardrobe” (Movie, Soundtrack and Inspired By album).
